Our Story

Here at RIPNROCK we offer single and multi activity days out all over South Wales from the picture perfect beaches of the Gower peninsular to the wild and watery beautiful Neath Valley.

We use some of the most stunning venues Wales has to offer for our activities, from the award winning Rhossili Bay  and the well known Llangennith beach for Surfing to Wales’ very own Celtic rainforest in waterfall county for our Canyoning and Gorge Walking. Scale the famous Three Cliffs on our rock climbing & Abseiling days and get the heart pumping with our action packed Gower coasteers.

There isn’t a corner of Gower that we don’t know, its our home, office and our playground and have a passion for sharing it with all of our visitors in a sensitive and sustainable way.

We’re a small family business who’s focus is on quality of experience and not quantity of people through the door. For this reason it’s wise to book early to avoid disappointment especially in peak season.

Let us help to create your perfect tailor-made break, with a selection of the best eating places in the areas, from quaint little beach side cafés to boutique fine dining. And for your accommodation, whether you’re on a budget or feel like splashing out… we’re here to help you build your ideal experience!

Rhys

Rhys – Multi Activity Lead

Rhys has been with us for the last 7 years, originally a 3rd generation beef farmer, when he showed interest in joining the team we got pretty excited! Rhys is a huge asset to the team, he’s hugely passionate about the outdoors and the environment we work in. He’s a keen surfer and cold water swimmer and is kept busy juggling work, play and his young family. You’ll mostly see Rhys leading you along the best of Gower’s coastline and down the magnificent river Mellte on our ever popular Coasteering and Canyoning activities.

Finn

Finn

An impressive rock climber and keen surfer, Finn has been know to solo up some very difficult routes and cruise along on a surf board. Sal and Dave’s floppy eared Cocker Spaniel pup tags along on most activities and loves to play with kids, but there is one thing that over-rides all of the above…..a ball!  (Sadly our beloved forever Pup is no longer with us )

Dave

Dave – Instructor

Families, schools, stags, pensioners, youth offenders, groups with disabilities… you name it, he’s taken them on adventures and always seems to be having the time of HIS life!

Originally from London(ish) and a former Swansea Uni student, Dave fell in love with the South Wales vibe, the scenery and its hidden gems. He’s since fallen in love with being able to share all its wonders with you. Having surfed on 5 continents, scaled 5000+m peaks and trekked through jungles, he swears that there’s no place like home. Married to Sally, father to Tirion, Mabli and Emlyn he’s one contented dude!
