Activity Itineraries

ABSEIL ADVENTURE ITINERARY

Meeting point: Mewslade carpark, Mewslade, Gower, SA3 1PR (Button Farm)

Please meet your instructor/s in the carpark. There is an honesty box for parking (£3).

Here you will be briefed, get kitted up and then you will head off on the activity.

What we provide – Harnesses and helmets.

What you will need

  • A pair of closed-toe, grippy shoes with laces to wear for the activity – trainers/walking boots.
  • Clothing that will keep you warm and dry if the weather is likely to be inclement or cool if the weather is likely to be hot.
  • Please avoid wearing short sleeves or short trousers and do not wear your best clothing as they are likely to come into contact with rocks frequently.
  • Any snacks, drinks, suncreams , cameras etc. (We do not stop for a food break, so no big packed lunches please)
  • Any medication you may need (asthma pump etc) we can carry these in our dry bags throughout the activity.

Please ensure you have eaten a good meal before arriving for your session.

CANYONING ITINERARY

Meeting point: On the approach road to Mcdonalds, Glyn-Neath Business Park, Cwmgwrach Roundabout Glynneath, SA11 5NZ

Please meet your instructor here. Don’t worry they’ll be looking out for you! (He/she may/may not have a sign written RIPNROCK van) You will then follow in your vehicle for approximately 10 minutes to the next carpark. Here you will get kitted up, briefed and begin the activity. Please car share as much as possible as parking may be limited. Please note; Car park charge- £1 per person. Please could you give this to the instructor who will then pay the farmer.

What we provide – Wetsuits, helmets and buoyancy aids. (in colder months- gloves, neoprene hoods and socks)

What you will need

  • A pair of closed-toe, grippy shoes with laces to wear for the activity i.e. trainers/walking boots.
  • No surfing booties or sandal style shoe- they are not suitable.
  • Trunks/swimsuit to be worn under the wetsuit.
  • A pair of old shorts to be worn outside the wetsuit to protect the wetsuit.
  • A large towel or other garment to assist with changing outdoors, nudity in the areas we change in is totally unacceptable.
  • A thin fleece (NOT cotton) top to wear under the wetsuit can give extra warmth. A must in winter months!
  • Any medication you may need (asthma pump, EPI pen etc) your instructors can carry these the safety bags throughout the activity.

Please ensure you have eaten a good meal before arriving for your session. You will not be able to bring food or drinks on the activity with you. Unless required for medical reasons.

ROCK CLIMBING - THREE CLIFFS ITINERARY

Meeting point: North Hill Farm, North Hill Lane, Gower, SA3 2HB (Three Cliffs campsite)

Please meet your instructor in the carpark. Here you will be briefed, get kitted up and then you will head off on the activity. Maximun £5 parking. There’s a shop to grab a quick bite/drink.

COASTEERING ITINERARY

Meeting point: Rhossili Carpark- Worms Head Hotel, Gower, SA3 1PR

Please drive down to the bottom of the first car park or the top of the second car park. This is where we aim to be depending on how busy the car parks are. Also look out for the flag of Owain Glyndwr (red and yellow boxes with lions on it) and various colourful helmets and buoyancy aids laid on the grass. Depending on logistics there may be a large white sign written van to also look for.

Please meet your instructor/s in the carpark of the National Trust, there is a £5 parking charge. Here you will be briefed, get kitted up and then you will head off on the activity.

MEGA SUP ITINERARY

Meeting point: The River Tawe, Copper works carpark . Plasmarl, Swansea SA1 2LE

What we provide: The MEGA SUP, wetsuits, helmets and buoyancy aids and paddles.

What you need to bring:

  • Swim wear for under the wetsuit.
  • A large towel or other garment to assist with changing outdoors, nudity in the areas we change in is totally unacceptable.
  • Optional-surf booties/watershoes. If you prefer to wear footwear please ensure they are similar to a surf bootie, as footwear with sharp edges/grippy soles will damage the board.
  • Any medication e.g asthma pump, epi-pen, food, drink or suncream you may need

The lesson: Our instructors will meet you in the designated carpark, here you will get kitted up briefed and head to the beach to begin the session.

  • Clothing that will keep you warm and dry if the weather is likely to be inclement, or cool if the weather is likely to be hot.
  • Drinks, suncreams , cameras etc. We will not be stopping for a food break.
  • Any medication you may need (asthma pump etc)
